On what was supposed to be a grey and gloomy day, Vöxx arrived to its first appearance at the USDM Super Meet with the sun shining in the sky. In tow, a Lunar Silver Metallic Acura Integra Type S fitted with the latest in our "Feather Forged" flow form series of wheels: the Vöxx Modena.
The Modena is the latest in our flow formed series of light weight performance wheels. Seen here on a 2024 Acura Integra Type S, the Modena is offered in 18, 19, and 20 inch diameters with various bolt patterns and offsets. The aggressive fitment of the Modena pairs well with the Integra Type S, sitting more flush with the factory widebody fenders than the OE split five-spoke wheels. A classic five-spoke design, the Modena also allows for a better look at the big, four-piston Brembo calipers and two-piece rotors at the front.
Being a flow formed wheel, the Modena also offers two big advantages over the OE wheel: weight savings and strength. Flow forming technology allows for a wheel that is stronger than a standard cast wheel while being lighter. At 23 pounds a piece for the 19x8.5 size, the Modena comes in a five pounds lighter per corner than the OE wheel. An overall 20 pound savings might not seem like much, but having less mass to rotate means your car is using less power (and less fuel) to move your car.
Vöxx made some waves at the USDM Super Meet with plenty of people coming to our booth to check out our newest designs, as well as take pictures and ask questions about the Integra. Unfortunately, what started off as a bright and sunny day quickly turned ugly fast. Lightning and thunder roared from the skies at around 3pm, prompting the meet to end early.
